Today, the American Heritage Association will be filing a lawsuit against the City of Charleston for the removal of the Lee Memorial and for changing the name of Memminger Auditorium to Festival Hall. The AHA will assert that both of these actions are direct violations of South Carolina’s Heritage Act. Below is the press release that is being sent out.
